Hand Wash Preferred: Handwashing is your batik's best friend. Use cold water and a mild detergent for a gentle cleanse.

Gentle Agitation: If you're handwashing, don't be too vigorous. Gently agitate the water to clean the fabric without causing any damage.

Avoid Soaking: While a good soak can work wonders for some fabrics, it's not the best for batik. Keep it brief to prevent colors from bleeding.

Cold Water Rinse: When rinsing, stick to cold water. It helps to maintain the vibrancy of those beautiful batik patterns.

Air Dry: Skip the dryer and let it air dry. Hanging it in the shade will help preserve the colors and prevent any potential shrinking.

Iron with Caution: If ironing is needed, do it on a low setting. And, of course, turn it inside out to protect the batik design.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Batik fabrics may not be best buddies with harsh chemicals, so steer clear of bleach and other strong detergents.

Separate Colors: When washing, it's a good idea to separate your batik from other items to prevent color transfer.
